summit pgs 10a

Klüber Summit PGS 10A is a special polyglycol oil for the lubrication of mechanical seals. What makes this product stand out are its very low gas solubility and good cold flow properties. The base oil contained in Klüber Summit PGS 10A shows a high chemical stability with aggressive gas constituents, which may contact the oil.

  • Klüber Summit PGS 10A has been specially designed for the lubrication of process gas compressors where the mechanical seal is in contact with the oil circuit. Klüber Summit PGS 10A should be used in particular if the compressor is lubricated with Klüber Summit PGS 2, PGS 68 ... 220, PGI 68 ... 150 and NGL 444, 888 oils where good miscibility of the mechanical seal oil with the compressor oil is required.
  • Unlike mineral oils, polyalphaolefins or ester oils, the special base oil contained in Klüber Summit PGS 10A clearly reduces the solubility of hydrocarbon gases. The viscosity of the oil remains consistent for a long time, which contributes to reliable lubrication and a long service life of the mechanical seal.
  • Due to the good viscosity-temperature behaviour of Klüber Summit PGS 10A, compressor start-up is possible even at low ambient temperatures, which usually would require preheating of the oil when using mineral oils.
  • Reliable lubrication tailored to meet the requirements in mechanical seals
  • Miscible with Klüber Summit PGS, PGI and NGL gas compressor oils enabling safe and reliable operation
  • Low temperature start-up of equipment due to the good viscosity-temperature behaviour of the oil
  • Special additives prevent residue formation in the seal clearances
