    UNISILKON L 250 L shows high thermal stability thanks to silicone base oil and PTFE additive. UNISILKON L 250 L offers good penetration ability in small and difficult-to-access lubrication points. Thanks to its relatively high viscosity, it provides good adhesion even in unfavorable geometries. UNISILKON L 250 L is resistant to cleaning agents and disinfectants, as well as hot and cold water and superheated steam up to 130°C. UNISILKON L 250 L is also resistant to pumpable foodstuffs, beverages such as fruit juice, beer and dairy products. UNISILKON L 250 L is not resistant to organic solvents, strong acid or alkaline solutions.

    UNISILKON L 250 L is registered and thus complies with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The lubricant has been developed for points where there is a risk of incidental contact with packaging materials and products in the food preparation, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or animal feed industries. The use of UNISILKON L 250 L contributes to increasing the safety of production processes. We still recommend performing an additional risk analysis such as HACCP.

    UNISILKON L 250 L as sealing grease;

    • Drinking water valves and fittings (e.g. ceramic discs, cartridges and thermoregulators). Since the lubricant viscosity is independent of the service temperature, UNISILKON L 250 L allows constant operating forces over the entire cold/hot water range (e.g. single-lever hot-cold taps).
    • Valves and fittings of heating installations (e.g. thermoregulators, tap valves, pressfit gaskets). UNISILKON L 250 L has also been proven effective in the installation of radial oil seals and gaskets that come into contact with hot-cold water and steam.

    UNISILKON L 250 L is neutral towards most metals, thermoplastics and elastomers. Due to the large number of elastomer and plastic compositions, we recommend checking the compatibility of the material with the lubricant. UNISILKON L 250 L can be applied by spatula, brush, normal measuring devices or pad printing method. Please review the material safety data sheet.

    • It has proven effective in valves and fittings as well as in the drinking water, plumbing, beverage and heating industry.
    • There are international standard approvals such as KTW-BWGL, WRAS, ACS, AS 4020, NSF Standard 61 and NSF H1 for valves and fittings.
    • It provides long-lasting protection of valves and connections thanks to its good resistance to many environments such as disinfectants, cleaning agents, water and steam.
